Meet the Founder
Khemie Medina
My name is Khemie Medina, and I am from Newark, NJ. I am a professional musician, music business entrepreneur, and early childhood educator. I graduated from the University of the Arts in 2022 with a degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Music Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MBET).
With experience in hosting concert events and managing indie artists, I founded Session No. 1 to support artists navigating the music industry. I have worked as a Project Manager for Grammy winners Aaron Levinson and Joe Zahm, served as an Event Associate at Sofar Sounds, and consulted for artists such as Aquildawud, Brianna Knight, Ahkyah , Scream Cj , Young Roley and more.I am the project manager for Girls Need RNB and it's a philly thing music event! My goal is to transform creative visions into successful projects, crafting relatable experiences that celebrate the positive aspects of our cultural heritage.
